Wool is a delicate material that is prone to shrinking, but this does not mean that the garments can not be washed from time to time. Hand washing, with mild detergent for delicates, is recommended for these types of clothing. However, woolen clothes can also be washed in the washing machine with light cycles for delicate items. It is advisable to read the instructions on the labels carefully before subjecting the wool to any type of cleaning.

Fill a clean container with cold water and add a mild detergent for delicates

Soak the garment in the water for about 10 minutes gently swishing around

Remove the garment from the water, form a ball and gently squeeze the excess water

Lay a dry towel out on a flat surface then place the garment on top of the towel

Roll the towel over the garment and gently squeeze absorbing excess water

Lay out another dry towel and place the garment on top to air dry
